they get used to living there.and they won’t work in tundra.they don’t want to.they will live over there.they’ll became drunks. or they’ll end up in the grave.
just imagine
10 mouths of residential school and only 2 months in the tundra.it’s like a prison.
why are they doing this to kids ? the world has turned upside down.and then they’ll leave their mother,leave their father.
you see, in this tent,in that tent.their kids didn’t come back.
and look at nochins .lots of children, but they are lonely old people.
the same with her children.they studied for a long time.and now none of them want to help their elderly mother.they just don’t want to and she is left alone.
they don’t have any pity for the parents.
come on, go to residential school!
you need to go to school! come on!

these people that command to go to residential school.they are bandits.
they don’t think about our future.how will we pasture the deer? how will we survive?they don’t think about those things.
they also like the deer meat.but who will become the next deer people?
we’ll grow old and there’ll be no more deer.and i think that this land all of this land…it’ll become deserted.
everything will fall apart.nothing will be left.
no one to breed the deer,if they keep taking them away to residential school.
moreover ,they send kids to Anadyr. why? what for?..
women give birth to children as if to just throw them away.
why do they have this law?it’s a stupid law!!

当直升机带走了他们的孩子之后，孩子们就不会再回来了，他们就会扔下自己年老的父母在这里孤独的守护这片大地和驯鹿。他们不会思考我们的未来是怎样，他们也不再会去游牧饲养驯鹿，然后这我们会变老，然后驯鹿会越来越少，大地会因此干枯。他们也许依旧热爱驯鹿的美味，但是今后再也不会有驯鹿牧民了。
政府立了一条很糟糕的法律，要求我们的孩子远离苔原之地。而这些举动，就跟强盗无异。

Aleksei Vakhrushev
出生在阿纳德尔，楚科奇自治区的首府，
1969年他在符拉迪沃斯托克的戏剧研究所毕业，
并在全俄罗斯国家摄影学院开始了他的电影研究（VGIK ）
1991年在莫斯科他以纪录片《Time When Dreams Melt》开启了他的电影生涯。
1993-1996年，他记录了东北亚地区的爱斯基摩人的真实的故事。
1996年他的电影《Birds of Naukan》，也是反映了爱斯基摩人的命运。
这部电影是在1997年的芝加哥国际电影节，慕尼黑国际音乐节等荣获大奖。
